Photoshoot

I decied against my intial idea of taking photos of three different styles, the reasons for this are:
  • Is that it did not give the band a specific look
  • When making the double page spread an incorperating the photos this idea may not have worked
  • I was slowly running out of time to take my photos as Danielle and I had to find a time when we both not busy to take them
So I decided to go with the festival/country/spring style, as we are approaching this season.
For the photos for my music magazine Danielle and I, who made up the band 'The Loveless' went to Claybury Park to take photos of the spring, country, festival look. The reason I chose the setting of Claybury Park was because it has a spring feel to it as it has lots of tress, rolling hills and field of long grass. I wanted a wide range of photos, to achieve this variety I decided to take fun pictures of us jumping and running around, to create an exciting, wild look for the band. I also wanted to take some more serious photos of us posing. Within the photos we used some props; a straw hat, scarf, leaves and a branch from the tree to achieve the right image and feel to the photos.  Within my photos there is a wide variety of camera angles;
  • high angle shot
  • low angle shot
  • close up
  • mid shot
  • long shot.
By taking pictures from all thesedifferent angles show that I understand the concept of different angles shots and what is shown in more detail in the shot.
  As I am in the photos, Danielle and I took turns to take photos of eachother but my ideas of how the photo should be, the kind of shot and how to pose where behind every photo, and there is clear evidence that I have taken the photos. However for the photos that we are in together, these photos were taken in my back garden in front of a brick wall by my sister as I need a selection of mid shot photos of us together for the front cover.
